Troop 183 is a very active group of young men.  In addition to the weekly meetings, the Troop participates in monthly camping, hiking, camporee and other fun activities.  In 2011, the boys camped out at Camp Rock Enon, the Quantico Marine Corps Base, Lake Anna, Orange, and Letterkenny Army Depot.  They toured the Marine Corps Museum, hiked the Gettysburg battlefield, and watched the Oceana Air Show.  The boys won first place at the 2011 Klondike Camporee, a winter camping activity.  Through all of this, they earn merit badges, rank advancement, and important life skills.
